All Zone students who would like to participate in recreation/ sports activities at The Zone must fill out all the necessary paper work by Tuesday, September 30th.
The new Scholastic Student Athlete Safety Act requires all students by law to complete the NJ Department of Education Health History Questionnaire and Physical Evaluation Form in order to participate in inter-scholastic sports and intramurals.
Students who participating in middle school sports teams have always needed a physical, the law now requires physicals for participation in intramurals and other afterschool recreation/sports activities like The Zone. Physicals can be done by the school physician or your private health care provider. However, only the NJ Department of Ecuation althletic forms will be accepted.
Sports physicals for The Zone students along with Intramurals and Winter Sports will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2014.
After October 2, 2014 only students who have been approved by the Nurse will be able to participate in physical recreation activities at The Zone including but not limited to Open Gym, Football, Basketball, Gymnastics and Soccer.
You can pick up a physical packet at the Nurse's Office and make an appointment. All paperwork must be completed and returned to the Nurse by Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
